Small & medium sized churches are invited to partner with ZOE Ministry. The NCC Mission Team is offering matching funds of up to $500 for churches, Sunday school classes, or other church-based groups interested in supporting ZOE Ministry for the first time. But remember, the deadline is coming up fast – December 10, 2015.
ZOE is a distinctive three year program that empowers orphans and vulnerable children around the world to overcome extreme poverty, become self-reliant, and learn about God’s love. ZOE currently operates in Africa, India, and Latin America.

Coats United Methodist Church started a Soup Kitchen in late 2012. The name of this ministry is HIS DAILY BREAD Soup Kitchen. The response has been TREMENDOUS. It is reaching hungry children and adults in the area. Eight other local churches in the community have come together to support the ministry. A hot meal is served every Thursday night to over 100 adults and children. Church buses go out on Thursday night and pick up kids to bring them in to the Soup Kitchen. Food boxes are prepared for take home each night also. This ministry has far reaching arms that are helping to feed the hungry and to offer a time of fellowship. Everyone knows that when they enter our doors, we are all the same. There is is no distinction between race or color. They are all met with a big hug and a smile to let them know they are very welcomed . God is in the midst of this ministry and blesses all who come to eat or to volunteer their time to serve. We are all amazed how this ministry has touched so many hungry folks and folks hungry to serve. Some nights we have worried that we would not have enough food boxes for folks to take home, but so far it has been an over abundance of food each Thursday night. If this the place to nominate someone for next year for this award, HIS DAILY BREAD certainly is a very deserving ministry.
